When I saw that this was the number one story on Reddit—and overwhelmingly so—I wondered why. Sure, it’s a cute picture, but what was so special about it?
Well, the photographer’s deviantART page has the backstory (which I’m editing minimally so that it makes grammatical sense, because I’m an OCD jerk):
Took this picture at Gay Pride 2009 in Brussels. This was a little kid of a gay couple coming to check those curious pins on his jacket. The kid pulled the punk’s jacket and the punk sat on his knees. When the two men called their kid back the punk got a little kiss from the kid. This made my day perfect.
Yes, a picture is worth 1,000 words, but sometimes it helps to know which words it represents.
A happy punk is the best kind.
